2007-2008 WASL Scores for
St. Francis of Assisi School
4th and 7th
Grades
The WASL (Washington
Assessment of Student Learning) was developed as part of the 1993 Education
Reform Bill, which mandated new learning standards, a new state test and new
accountability for students and schools.
The WASL is designed to be different-and tougher-than traditional
multiple-choice exams such as the ITBS.
In math, students are expected to explain in writing how they reached a
solution to a problem.
The WASL percentages shown below represent the number of
students who have passed the WASL in a specific subject area.
