The last Living Your Strengths Class was May 12th, 2012 from 1pm-4pm. This class met just one time. This was a short intensive class. We met in the Parish Hall.
Are you wondering about your strengths but just can't commit to a four- week series? This might be the class for you.
Have You Lived Your Strengths Today?
In order to get started, pick up the book from the Parish Office (cost $18) or contact Moira to make other arrangements. Once you have the book, go to the back of the book. There you will find the green insert that contains the website and your code for the online test. The test takes about 30 min. It is best to take it uninterrupted. You will get your results immediately. Please bring the results and the book to the first class.
For assistance with taking the test, contact Moira.
Gallup Research shows the chances of anyone having the same:
• Top 5 strengths in any order- 1 in 275,000
• Top 5 in the same order- 1 in 33 million
• Top 6 in the same order- 1 in a billion
• Top 7- not enough people born from the beginning of time through the next 100 years!
Gallup Research has found that by consistently working out of their strengths, individuals are able to operate in their day-to-day lives with more productivity & less stress. The idea of Strengths Finder is to determine (through an online survey) your top five strengths. Each person is created uniquely and in God’s image; s/he has a combination available only to that person.
Living Your Strengths If you have FUTURISTIC as one of your top five talents/strengths, you are a person who is inspired by the future. You inspire others with your visions of the future. You bring hope to others through the possibilities you share. Pay attention to God’s promises related to the future; volunteer to talk about what you see as the future of your parish; help others experiencing difficult times by helping them see possibilities. While millions of people in the U.S. are actively involved in some sort of religious organization, many people feel disengaged from their faith communities. More than half report that they really don't get the opportunity in their congregation to do what they do best. The problem is this: too many people's talents are going unappreciated. But it doesn't have to be this way. Living Your Strengths shows readers how to use their innate gifts to enrich their faith communities. The book shows people how to identify and affirm their talents, and how to use them for growth and service. Most importantly, Living Your Strengths helps people discover their true callings. The book includes an ID code that gives readers access to StrengthsFinder.com, a personality assessment that reveals the user's top five talents.
