From the Desk of John Eisen

We need your participation in our new 2009 photo directory. 209 families have signed up and we had hoped 350 households would participate. The directory is a great way to get to know each other and there is no cost to you or the church to have your photographs taken and you will receive a complementary 8X10. portrait and directory for participation. The photo sessions are in Unity Place To sign up – you can go HERE or signup after weekend Masses, or call the Parish Office or sign up after the weekend Masses.

Completing a Dream: Total Pledged $1,117,146. Pledges Received: $856,994 and the balanced due: $260,206. Matching Gifts remains at: $51,729. Debt Loan Balance is currently: $226,600. Property Purchase Loan Balance is $369,558. To date, Sunday weekend gifts have increased 1.4% over last year. The operating budget was approved in early June when giving was higher than the year before. Since then, Sunday giving trends suggest that the parish may be short of its budgeted goal by as much as $27,000. A plan to cut spending has been developed and we may need to start implementing the plan’s initial steps in November.

Parish Policy about Bulletin inserts- Last year, the parish bought cases of paper for 240,000 copies
– a bulk of the paper was used for making copies for bulletin inserts. Because parish finances are tight,
starting in November, the parish office will charge $20 to have a single flyer copied 700 times for the
bulletin or, to avoid the cost of the copying, a person can bring the copies already made. I want to limit
inserts to no more than 2, preferably zero inserts a weekend. Also, parishioner needs to get the OK for
an insert a week in advance. Without prior approval, the insert will not be included in the bulletin.

Opportunity to support CYO Sports & your Business:

Large Colorful and professional posters of your business will be displayed in the McClean Family Center for a modest fee (depends on size of the poster) for one year. The display will be seen by St. Francis Community as well as families in South King County who come here for Basketball and Volleyball weekend games. If interested, please Contact Mike Kramer at cmkamerjr@comcast.net.
